Ekonair evaporation panels use the natural cooling process by evaporating water. The forced air flow through the cellulose inserts in the water cooling walls in combination with the high temperature causes the water to evaporate. Each liter of evaporated water per hour gives 628 W of cooling power. Low operating costs and simple construction make water cooling walls applicable in light and heavy industry, warehouses, livestock buildings, greenhouses and other large-scale facilities.
Water walls are a complete product containing a corrosion-resistant aluminum frame, a water distribution system and a resin-coated cellulose insert ensuring constant physical properties of both the dry and wet element.
It is enough to connect the evaporation panels to a properly selected water pump with a tank. Installation of evaporation panels should take into account the appropriate air flow forced by fans. Evaporation panels are installed, for example, in walls, windows, unused gates, as free-cooling, for dry-coolers and chillers.
Advantages of using water cooling walls:
- cheap and ecological cooling [without the use of f-gases]
- quick and simple assembly
- easy maintenance and cleaning
- resistant to corrosion and impacts [aluminum frame]
- evenly soaked with water [ensures a constant cooling effect]
- made for a given size
Available thickness of the evaporation panel:
- 150 mm,
- 100 mm.
Available type of evaporation panel:
- 7090,
- 5090.
The cellulose inserts in the panels may differ in the thickness of the insert and the angle of the channel position in the cellulose inserts. Thanks to this, depending on the selected insert, you can choose a fan and air flow depending on your needs. Larger opening angles of the channels inside the cartridge improve the efficiency of water evaporation, but at the same time increase the pressure loss of such a cartridge. Detailed data on evaporation efficiency and pressure loss are given in the charts.
The evaporation panels are made to the size specified by the customer. The construction of water cooling walls is shown in the pictures below. The frame is made of aluminum, while the water distribution and connection elements are made of PVC (PVC).

The efficiency and pressure drops on the evaporation panels are presented below.
